Situated in the garden of our family home, AliCats Cattery is set in a peaceful haven offering calm and tranquility.
Our units have been designed with the comfort of our feline guests in mind.
Warm & cosy sleeping areas
Heated and fully insulated penthouse sleeping pods with window and cat flap. Our sleeping pods maintain a constant temperature between 18°c and 26°c. ​
Enriching environment
The cattery sits at the bottom of the garden, facing our house. Each pen has unobstructed views of the garden, providing fantastic bird and butterfly watching opportunities!
Space to explore
Hygienic design
Each unit has a large covered exercise run with multiple level shelves, allowing our guests to explore in the fresh air in all weathers.
All units have hygienic wall and floor cladding, aiding in the prevention of the spread of disease, and allowing effective disinfection between guests.
Security
Every pen opens onto a secure corridor, and our guests remain inside their unit for the duration of their stay.
Security cameras monitor the property, and visitors are not allowed to enter occupied units.

Unlike many large commercial catteries, where cats may encounter a revolving door of unfamiliar faces, AliCats is a completely family run facility set within our home.
This familiarity allows our guests to develop trusting relationships with us, making the settling in period as stress free as possible

ENRICHMENT
Our enrichment program is designed to ensure that your cat receives the mental and physical stimulation they need to thrive during their stay. All of our guests are provided with numerous enrichment activities daily in between naps and cuddles, providing structure to days, and breaking up what may otherwise be a monotonous experience.

Mental Stimulation

With cats being such intelligent creatures, mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise. We use puzzle feeders and treat-dispensing toys to encourage problem-solving to keep your cat engaged.

Sensory Enrichment
Activities that have your little hunter using all of their senses. From crinkly tunnels to cardboard scratchers and catnip, cats are given the opportunity to explore different textures, smells, and sights.

Environment

Our units have been designed to allow cats to have high vantage points, secure enclosed hiding places, and unobstructed views, giving them the choice to explore at their own pace.

Active play
Whether your cat loves chasing feathers or batting at laser pointers, playing with teaser toys allows our guests to burn off extra energy and satisfy their natural curiosity and hunting instincts.

Treats!
If your cat is anything like ours, we know the way to their heart is through their tummy!
In addition to ​their usual cat food, our guests are given treats including Dreamies, boiled fish or chicken, and Lick-e-Lix.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Ensuring the well-being of our guests is our top priority. We implement strict health and safety protocols to create a secure environment for all of the cats in our care.
Vaccination
We require evidence of up-to-date current vaccination for all our guests.
No cat will be admitted without current vaccination, so it is imperative that you bring your cats vaccination certificate along with them on the day of arrival.
Prevention
For the safety of all our guests, we reserve the right to decline boarding for any cats displaying signs of contagious illness or parasites. Please ensure your cat is flead and wormed with a veterinary approved treatment before boarding.
Disinfection

​We use only DEFRA approved veterinary grade disinfectants, and each unit has it's own designated supplies.
All units are cleaned daily, and are thoroughly sanitized and disinfected between guests.

While we are are committed to providing personalised care for all our guests, we kindly ask that you contact us to discuss any specific medical requirements your cat may have. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate cats with severe or more complex medical conditions, but we are always happy to discuss what options may be best for your cat.
